Brittany, February 2015

I'm not known for creating vibrant, colorful photos so that's exactly why I chose to work with tones foreign to me with this shoot. I saw Brittany at an art event I was photographing and she was the coolest, best dressed, most vibed out person there, and she was awesome to work with.

Portraits from the Columbus Flea, Winter 2016

Here are some of my favorite photos of people from the last edition of the Flea, just as many friends as strangers, all gathering at one of my favorite events in Columbus.  Strongwater has some of the coolest light in the winter, and in general is probably one of the best places to have a presentation, dance party, wedding reception, or flea market.  Find the whole set of photos here.

Mandi's Self Portrait Project

Mandi Caskey is an artist working in Columbus, OH. We collaborated on these photos, shot in her living space, for a self-portrait project she is exploring. Find Mandi's art here. I have a post from 2015 about Mandi here.

"Stay Gold or Minti"

This is the "Hope Outdoor Gallery" in Ausin, TX, essentially the literal foundation for larger development that never took place and became a destination for graffiti artists to work in plain sight, for tourists looking for culture (also armed with spray paint) and those seeking a great view of the city. I visited there in january 2016 and here are some of the photos from my visit.

Kate, One of My Favorite Photographers

Kate Sweeney is the greatest and I was very happy to photograph her at her home with a mobile studio setup that neatly fits in one backpack and an arm full of stands and paper. I'm constantly inspired by Kate's creative spirit and commitment to shooting all the time. Check out her work here.
