After shooting 10 rolls of film on a Mamiya 645 last summer, I might not use film ever again. Focus is just too difficult to attain, and the quality of the images had me yearning for my digital cameras. The only good thing about film that I still value is the surprise of seeing those pictures that did come out with all the magic you intended.
I photographed Justina Osorio and her daughter Vivianna for the New York Times for a story covering the end of the HAMP mortgage modification program. This picture appeared on the front page of the Business Day section.
OHAYOCON is an anime convention taking place at Columbus' convention center every year in January. I have to admire the passion and time people put into their character's costumes, and also the community that exists around these activities.
