What feels like a year ago, traveling across the country.

There is so much to forget with these photos…a life I looked forward to that never existed, the love I felt 2,000 miles away that was farcical, the hurt from thinking you know someone at all. I also forgot to take photos of the grandest location I visited. As with any other point in my life the photos are all that remain, my feelings and expectations a tuft of smoke in the creases of my hand that I’m not sure was ever even there.

Myself, and a new Album

I released a new Winter Triangle record at the beginning of March called Slice of Lightning. Many of the tracks were recorded at the same time as my first album New Ambient July, during the pandemic shutdown of 2019. This album makes me think of the first human colonists on Mars and what their lives will be like. It’s the soundtrack to space…beauty and emptiness. You can find the record on Spotify here.

There was an interview and writeup of the record in the Columbus Alive, and these are photos I took of myself to accompany the article.

Sean Gleeson did an immense amount of work mixing, mastering, and even playing synth on some tracks. Much gratitude to him and his talents.

Beer Me, for Seventh Son Brewing

This is definitely the weirdest and most creative project I’ve been a part of in my years at Seventh Son, where I’ve been working on marketing for a number of years. The first edition of Beer Me was in 2020 and is becoming a yearly release celebrating the employees of this awesome company. All the credit for this project goes to Will Fugman who came up with this concept and spent a significant amount of time collaging the photos into a 3 dimensional beer can label…for 42 different cans!

Included in the slideshow are some of the original photos (including a good hair day self portrait) and the cans in their final state.
