It’s amazing the ways people come into your life…very happy to know this most unique person (and make photos with them).
The American Jobs
The last band I drummed with recently released an album called Sorry Business, made of material recorded pre-2018 in multiple studios and recording situations, the most memorable being a huge room in an old Masonic Temple across the river from Cincinnati, Ohio.
This album can’t be discussed without mentioning the tragic passing of Aaron Klamut who played bass and in many ways was the spiritual center of the band. We always hung out in his garage and created a huge amount of material in his basement, which would flood when those giant summer thunderstorms visited the Midwest.
Besides playing bass Klamut also sings on the song “Vinegar” which he improvised mostly sober from some strange place that his inspiration came from. I also have to mention that Aaron’s long time partner Ianna also sings on the song Silver Brains, probably the best song on the album.
You can listen to Sorry Business (and the preceding American Jobs album) on Spotify.
Victoria
Found a favorite location (dubbed Mt. Spook) and an awesome coworker to photograph there. These photos are nearing the bright sun of new ideas and feelings that have been stirring for months.
Back With My Photographic First Love
Recently had 7 rolls developed, all shot on the Holga over the past few months. The frames were exquisitely messed up with vignetting, light leaks, and halos. This camera almost feels like a tool of divination and I will always cherish the photos it produced.
Tara, The Light
Taken in mid June, made with immense gratitude, and placed here to look back on one day.
