Two Photos

Two photos, both of my good friend Aaron, next to the bathroom at the Lewis Mountain Campground in Shenandoah National Park, while my band was on tour. We had a day off and decided to spend it on a rainy mountain. [Hand held at 1/8th sec, F1.4, 4000ISO]

Headshots

I was happy to shoot headshots for a construction management company called KBP Construction yesterday. Although black & white headshots seem to have fallen out of favor recently with actors, real estate agents, and politicians, these edits were the ones that resounded with me the most. Would love to do more of this type of work in the future, which is also what I love: photographing people! Find KBP here

Spotted in Las Vegas

I saw this person while driving to a hotel during a ill-advised trip to Las Vegas (yes to roof-top pools and mountains, no to almost everything else).  I stopped my rental car at a Church's Chicken after spotting him, parked, and asked to take his photo. His response was, "Go ahead. The cops do it all the time, don't they?"

In Print

One of my photographs shot for the Wexner Center for the Arts in Columbus, Ohio was used as part of their promotional materials for a Campus Campaign Fund. I was lucky to shoot members of The Ohio State University's Department of Dance interacting with sculpture installations created by Sarah Oppenheimer in the Wex's gallery. Find info on the Wex here and Sarah Oppenheimer here.

Miriam In Her Favorite Color.

I bought Photoshop for the first time the week I took these photos. So I Photoshopped my way all over the place, moving flower petals around all day to block out the sky, color editing till I couldn't take it anymore......then I deleted the edits, and went with the basic editing I always use for photos. I like the results much more!
